Homestead Blessings Giveaway!!

I am celebrating my 200th blog post with a very nice giveaway!!  Franklin Springs Family Media has produced a whole passel of great videos that my family has greatly enjoyed.  The Homestead Blessing Series has been great to encourage our family to create more items on our own and to get out and work harder on a garden this year.  The entire series consists of bread making, candle making, soap making, gardening, canning and herbs.  There has been one recently released on cooking and another will be released soon.

Jeff has become friends with Ken Carpenter, creator of Franklin Springs, and Ken recently gifted us with the entire Homestead Blessings Series.  Well, we already had the first 3 DVD's, so I am offering our second set to my blog readers.  These cover bread making, candle making and soap making.  The West Ladies host these videos and are so helpful and down-home.

From the soap making DVD cover:  "With warmth, hospitality, and southern charm, the West ladies offer great insight, encouragement, and a joyful picture of family unity.  This unique and creative DVD is sure to provide fun skills that will inspire families to work together, learn together, and enjoy the art of soap making."

These DVD's were part of a set and are not shrink-wrapped, but they have never been opened or viewed.  Leave me a comment and let me know what new life or creative skills you will be working on in your family this year and your name will be included in a drawing to receive all three DVD's.    They truly are a blessing!

I have been looking at these dvds and would absolutely LOVE to get them. We are planning a garden this year and I need to know how to can. Sad, I know, but I never learned when I was younger. We all hope to learn together and this would help us so much.

We are moving from Portland Oregon to rural Iowa, so this year I/we will be:

*returning to homeschooling
*learning to garden again
*stocking up on the crafts I make to sell at bazaars & on etsy (to supplement our family's income AND to keep me entertained!)
*Finally learning how to use my inherited Singer from my grandmother! Clothes for 5 kids are too pricy!

Love reading your blog!

ohhh!! How exciting that you have reached your 200th blog! Your family is such a blessing!
Our family loves canning to keep our food stored for the winter, and we love gardening in the summer and fall. But, we have never tried our hand at candle making, and I am wimpy at sewing. I bet that our whole family would love the DVD's!
Thank you for hosting a giveaway!
Love ya!

I have seen these and always thought they'd be interesting to own. What a fun give-away. Right now I've been busy working on improving my sewing skills.

(I found you through the Mega-Family blogroll.)

My daughter and I are determined to make our own this year, so we would love some help in that area. But all the DVDs sound wonderful. Congratulations on 200 posts!

I wanna learn to sew! Kidding- I'm taking a break from wedding sewing to browse your blog. I hope to find my organizational skills this year. I know they're here somewhere...

I know a young bride to be that would love those dvd's.

20th post!!! Weren't you the one who joined the blogging world kicking and screaming? Or was that someone else? I so desperately need to work on joy and cheerfulness! And as always, organizational skills.

So love your blog...thank you for your "gentle" reminder at Emily's shower that I have not updated my blog...It will be a while before I reach that 200 mark! This is the year I WILL learn to sew. Mackenzie already can sew, crochet and knit...I need to learn at least one of these skills, and I really want to make outfits for Lexie. Mae is learning to latch hook, and I really would like to do more breadbaking this year. I have had these DVD's on my wish list, but alas, they did not appear under the tree...

I'm working hard to bring my home into a state of order. One of my main goals is to bring my sewing machine out of storage and put it in an accessible place. And then actually use it! Would love to have these!

I love making things from scratch and my children are always right there with me learning in the process. I love gardening, but with moving we haven't had one in a while, so I'm hoping to get one in this year. Nothing like fresh garden veggies. I would love to own these DVD's :)
