Four Little Men-Nephews and Uncles--and a Surprise!

            Caedmon, 20 months--Jackson, 6 in August--Chase, 3 next month--Elisha-15 months

Last week we had a little visit from Lauren and the boys.   Always on the look out for a photo op, Jordan placed them all on the couch.   Apparently Uncle Caedmon didn't want to be there.   Jackson is letting us know by his posture that HE didn't do anything to make Caedmon cry.  Eli and Chase don't know what to think.   Maybe Caedmon was already anticipating the news that Lauren shared with us on Friday.  Maybe he was hoping for another nephew.  His hopes were dashed, though!!  It's a girl!!  Our first granddaughter!  I still have a time just thinking about myself as a grandmother, but soon there will be three grands!  We haven't had a baby girl in the family in eleven years.  I can't wait to go through our baby girl clothes and to see Lauren's baby girl in some of the same little Feltman Brothers embroidered gowns and dresses that she wore.  Make room, boys, baby girl coming through!

This is too sweet. Both of my girls came home in a Feltman Bros. and they are in the hope chest just waiting on their future sweet baby girls, as well. I love that your grandson has an uncle younger than him. Priceless.

How fun! I love that your little boys and their nephews are so close in age! I got started having kids too late for that, but think it's really neat. I know you and Lauren will have fun shopping for a baby girl together! Congrats!

Congratulations on a granddaughter. Remind Lauren that it will need a friend to exchange clothes with everytime they get together to play. Debby P

Coming out of Lurkdom to congratulate you on the upcoming arrival of a new granddaughter! (I "met" you on the Living Books yahoo group...and somehow stumbled on your blog which I visit from time to time.)
I can relate to your confusion of roles. My own youngest child is only 20 months older than my oldest grandchild. They are like brothers and sisters in some ways...and they are the best of friends!
Enjoy those babies and grandbabies...they are such a blessing, aren't they?

Anita, you won the Lowe's giftcard giveaway on my blog. Can you leave me a comment with your address? I won't publish the comment, just use it to send your giftcard to you. Thanks!

What fun!

I have 6 ... yes 6 ... young adult children and NONE of them are married yet. We so would have expected to be grandparents by now.

I really thought that I would still be having babies when my older girls were starting their families. But, that was obviously no the Lord's plan for us.

Thinking there will be 4 weddings in the next year or so ... Hopefully the babies will follow soon after.

:) :) :)
