It's a beautiful spring day here and I was marveling at the sunshine and the birdsong when this hymn came to mind. Thought I would share it with you.
Fairest Lord Jesus
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son:
Thee will I cherish, thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.
Fair is the sunshine, Fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling, starry host;

this is one of my families favorite hymns. I think it is beautiful in music and in thought. I knew the second I saw the word 'fairest' - I started singing it before I could read your post. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate so much the chorus of those faithful to Christ around me that have influenced me & shown me those same resources, making opportunity to choose a better path. Thanks for your efforts at homeschool channel, among many ways I'm sure, & in general to raise up godly children for the next generation.
