Have not gotten rid of paper towels, I should, but I make baby wipes with them. I don't use a drier, I hang my clothes. I started using cloth diapers, they were cheap because my friend gave me a giant bag of "burp clothes" aka cloth diapers, just had to buy the covers. This one, I JUST got introduced to, sort of embarrassing to talk about but, I googled how to make sanitary napkins. I've sewn quite a few, have not used them yet so we'll see. I figure, if I only have a certain amount of money for food, why spend some of that on pads?! I'd rather buy food for my family. Some may think that's weird, but hey you do what you have to.Liv'in my homemaking dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13128143647851565121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7689362661450736563.post-10944460398050437722011-06-08T11:12:04.372-05:002011-06-08T11:12:04.372-05:00Both of these posts are full of great ideas! Than...Both of these posts are full of great ideas! Thankfully, many of them we currently do, but there are always areas in which I can improve!
I have not made the switch to cloth napkins and no paper towels....i have thought about it though. What a great idea to tie the cloth napkin to the back of the chair for use for the next meal. Love that idea!
We use paper plates for one meal and snacks a day--so I only have to run the dishwasher once a day. I am not sure which is more efficient....paper plates and one dishwasher run a day, or regular plates and run the dishwasher twice....
We use the same cup all day long. My kids get ONE cup each morning (each child has his own color), and I wash them in the dishwasher every night at bedtime.

Thanks again for the tips! You have helped me so much in so many areas throughout the years---mothering, homeschooling, housekeeping....
Thank you Anita!Roanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15267573890805062760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7689362661450736563.post-9054028218917254922011-06-08T09:15:24.087-05:002011-06-08T09:15:24.087-05:00Yap we do all of this too, and love it,,we save tu...Yap we do all of this too, and love it,,we save tuns of money :-)Mrs. Stamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10509954788063702199noreply@blogger.com
